little blessings...1 by 1

I don't always find it second nature to "go with the flow" when a bunch of little hassles come at me.

but apparently my Holy Spirit can do this.

Saturday I woke up to my computer pulling a hissy fit when I needed to print a few things to go do the newsletter. Then a template I needed to do a friend a favor wasn't available and I had to "jimmy rigg" the bulletin. But my spirit was calm; even when I had to drive to a friends house behind people who insisted on going not 1 mph over the speed limit, something that would normally drive me CooCoo for Cocoa Puffs. (I am a Boston girl remember....lol)

My Spirit was made glad in a conversation with my sister-in-the-Lord who shared her burden of wanting to inspire others to serve.

Through these eyes anew of seeing blessings, I realized what a simple joy having dinner cooked for you or sharing a laugh with a good friend can make you feel like a warm blanket, fuzzy slippers and a crackling fireplace can on a cold, winter's night.

I was in awe tonight when my Spirit tugged at me that I had missed an opportunity to encourage my Mom and I was given another chance to be a blessing.

And I am amazed at how at peace I am waiting for where God leads me for my next job.

Knowing me the way I do...this is ALL HIM!
